Newsletter writing is part science, part art – and for many people, it’s also a pain in the proverbial.
That’s a shame, because newsletters are a great way build a personal relationship and stay in touch with customers. Remind them of your products and services, put special offers in front of them and give them a sense of connection with your business. If you’re not sending a newsletter, no matter what else you’re doing, you’re losing business.
Most newsletters these days are email newsletters. They are easy and cheap to mail and the response is immediate. Print newsletters have a place too. You’ll find customers highlight things on them, and stick them up on anoticeboard or fridge. There might even be place for both in your marketing.
I’ll make your regular newsletter a cinch!
We’ll discuss your business goals and come up with a clear and simple newsletter strategy.
You might want to drive traffic to your website, highlight important aspects of your business or get your customers to engage more often or more deeply. I’ll work with you to create a template designed to achieve your goals. It will also have your branding and your business’s look and feel.
Having a template and a plan also takes away the frustration of staring at a blank screen and makes adding content weekly, monthly or quarterly so much easier!
Based on your strategy, I’ll keep tabs on your schedule and write your weekly, monthly or irregular newsletters for you. All you need to do is sign them off and send them out. How easy is that?
Are weekly or monthly newsletters better?
Should I just go ad hoc?
It depends. Generally, I prefer to keep the emails short, sweet and regular – but a newsy, less frequent publication can also work. Part of deciding the strategy will be to work out what suits your business best.
Mailchimp is my preferred email service provider, but I can work with most platforms. I understanding HTML and CSS and can create, format and send eDMs (electronic direct mailings) for you too.
